Farm Angel has the potential to drive the achievement of 9 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Specifically, it will contribute to:
SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) through increased in rice yield due to sustainable farming
SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) through increased income of smallholder farmers and women (who provide 60-80% of the labour) in developing countries
SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG 13 (Climate Action) through sustainable farming practices that follow SRP guidelines
SDG 17 (Partnership for the Goals) through an innovative facility that brings together local in-country private and public players, and global organizations in the rice and credit financing industry.
